Hm, I finally need a 10-bit monitor. these jumps in the color gradients can take all joy away.
It is maybe also the discourse software that reduce the png to jpg.

Das 2. sieht ganz genauso aus: leichte Sprünge in den Farbverläufen. Ich denke, das wäre mit 10 bit erledigt. Bin grad auf der Suche nach einem Monitor, die Auswahl ist aber nicht sehr dolle in 27 ". Vllt verspreche ich mir von 1 Mrd Farben auch zuviel …
The 2nd looks exactly the same: slight jumps in the colour gradients. I think this would be done with 10 bit. I’m looking for a monitor, but the selection is not very nice in 27". Maybe I expect too much of 1 billion colours …

Tjaaaa, haste davon evtl. noch das Original? Habe den aus meinem Manjaro-Forum raus kopiert.
Beides, png und jpeg - feine Streifen, sieht aus, wie sandgestrahlt … hab nen 25 zoll Dell mit 2K zur Zeit, aber eben auch 8 bit. Weiß nicht, ob die eine Mrd. Farben das Problem lösen würden.
Übrigens: lt Hersteller hat dein ASUS 10 Bit
das wirds am Ende sein …

Danke auch für den Tip. Ich glaube, ich sehe mir den “alten” ASUS mal genauer an. Hatte bislang den BenQ PD2700U im Visier, aber da soll es immer wieder Probleme mit der Verarbeitung geben. Muss ohnehin noch ne Weile sparen …
