Vulkan not found ERROR_OUT_OF_HOST_MEMORY

Look in /var/log/pacman.log to see when it was installed.

You can also use pacman -Qi amdvlk to see whether it was installed manually or as a dependency (but only while it’s still installed).

The likelihood is that you installed it without realising, e.g. you selected it as a vulkan driver provider when prompted with a list of options.

I think it installed with steam for some reason
this was shortly after my install.

Yup - Steam depends on vulkan-driver which is provided by several drivers (and you have to choose one or more to install).

I dont remember maybe I picked amd for some reason instead of nvidia.
But it broke in the last update thats whats throwing me off but its solved so yeah.

It must have something to do with either an updated to vulkan-icd-loader or the kernel. Or a flaw in amdvlk that was triggered by some change in either of those.

amdvlk was updated on the 10th of this month.
