I have tried updating the mirrors. Still freezes. Getting really tired of this because i have been messing with it for days. My go to has always been virtual-box i don’t usually have any problems.
Edit: Needless to say Manjaro just froze trying to update it.
My network is good fibreoptic to computer. Traffic coming from outside Canada is sometimes not good. When i say not good i mean compared to what i’m getting.
I honestly think there is a problem with virtual-box caused by Arch updates or virtual-box itself. You can get lucky and get something installed as i proved with manjaro but use it and it freezes. I’ve spent 2 days playing with this and i’m giving up until i see more updates. I haven’t been able to install any EndeavourOS desktop on virtual box yet without freezing.
What about detailing which packages are necessary to work as it is now, and which ones from a downgrade, by name? All in a central location so users don’t have to search?
I’m sorry but is this what we’ve come to all of a sudden? That if you don’t know how to do something then RTFM. There are lot of things i know how to do and do well and a lot that i don’t. More that i don’t than i do. This is the last thing that i want to see on here.
When i try to explain something to someone i try to give an explanation of all the steps because that’s how they learn. Once they do it then they understand. It’s all fine and dandy to read the Arch wiki but a lot of times it just doesn’t tell you the steps it just expunges technical data and leaves the user trying to understand what to do. I get really frustrated with this kind of stuff because i don’t think that is the way. That’s the problem with the Arch forum and the mods on there. I’m trying but this doesn’t help. I think i have only used downgrade once.
