Unneccesary driver

Interesting, you have two wireless drivers in use?

To make sure, could you show the output of

lspci -k | grep -A9 " Network controller: "

This is interesting? One is a Micron controller for SATA so it’s funny that it shows under Network?

[rick@xfce-pc ~]$ lspci -k | grep -A9 " Network controller: "
03:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM4360 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 03)
Subsystem: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM4360 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter
	Kernel driver in use: wl
	Kernel modules: bcma, wl
04:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 01)
Subsystem: DFI Inc RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller
	Kernel driver in use: r8169
	Kernel modules: r8169
05:00.0 SATA controller: JMicron Technology Corp. JMB360 AHCI Controller (rev 02)
Subsystem: JMicron Technology Corp. JMB360 AHCI Controller
[rick@xfce-pc ~]$

Edit: It’s an Advanced Host Controller Interface Chip! I think it’s for running Raid maybe?

I think the above command was too “liberal”.
Could you run this instead:

lspci -k | grep -A4 " Network controller: " | grep -P “Network cont|Kernel driver”
[rick@xfce-pc ~]$ lspci -k | grep -A4 " Network controller: " | grep -P “Network cont|Kernel driver”
bash: Kernel: command not found
grep: cont: No such file or directory
[rick@xfce-pc ~]$

Quotes again… sorry about that.
Simply replace the quote characters to be: "
There is a small difference.

Sorry, I don’t understand what you mean? It looks the same to me?

lspci -k | grep -A4 " Network controller: " | grep -P "Network cont|Kernel driver"

Hopefully they are right now.
If not, simply replace the double quotes with single quotes.

That’s better but i don’t see the difference?

[rick@xfce-pc ~]$ lspci -k | grep -A4 " Network controller: " | grep -P "Network cont|Kernel driver"
03:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM4360 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 03)
	Kernel driver in use: wl

It is a browser issue, sometimes copy/paste from a browser messes up certain special characters like quotes. They look almost the same, but not exactly. And they provide different ASCII codes…

The wireless card is Pci-e

I understand what your saying but it looks the same to me.
