Unable to update with Pamac

Are you still having trouble with pamac? What is the issue not updating or still a problem with the GUI and not showing stuff?

It is the GUI not showing the “Browse” section, updating is back to normal.

Maybe if you uninstall it. Then go into your home folder and check show hidden files. Then go into .config and delete the pamac folder. You may have to use elevated privileges to delete it.
So use sudo thunar Edit: (If using Xfce)
Once it is deleted you could log out and back in and then reinstall it and set it up and see. This may fix it? Or not!

Mine is doing the same as yours. If you are looking for some package in Browse switch from Categories to Groups are things show up.

Does it show in categories after doing that?

No it does not. It is the same as @FastGame described. So something with “Categories” seems to be broken.

Are you both on the same desktop?

I am on gnome shell 3.36.

I’m on KDE. The app indicator also changed, could click on tray icon and it would open pamac…now it gives popup with options Package Manger or Quit.

I’m on Kde right now and it’s fine. I just had a pile of updates for kde.

pamac-aur-git 9.4.0rc3.r7.gd92cba8-1

pamac-aur-tray-appindicator-git 9.4.0rc3.r7.gd92cba8-1

That is what my yay updates to, maybe we are on different versions ?

I check in a minute.

Edit: it’s the same version. I am not using the tray indicator. Not sure if that’s an issue?

I just installed Gnome on vbox and installed pamac and it is working okay.

I’m going to eat some waffles with Canadian maple and see if that helps

Edit= I live on the border, peameal bacon, yum yum

Don’t forget the bacon!

Edit: I’m just wondering if i should try the tray indicator?

I live right by Jakemans Maple Sugar!

I’ve been there many times, I live across the river from Sarnia

I guess we are almost neighbors then!

I just did a fresh install using the latest ISO on my real machine and no, unfortunately no “categories”.

How can that be? I just installed it on vbox and it works like a charm? So you have Gnome? Is there something else you are installing? Are you using Gnome with wayland? Something is very strange here.
