Did you cycle through the different tabs?
Edit: did you click on the search icon first? I have had that happen before now that i remember. Click on the search icon and then on the browse tab.

Edit: I also added the tray indicator on KDE.

Nothing out of the ordinary that would cause a problem with pamac.
I just tried again a fresh install. One thing which comes to my mind is that I do the install as described here.
Same here, no categories on xfce.
Ok lets use reverse psychology, we have the normal pamac and ricklinux has the broken one. ricklinux should fix his and let us know how he did it.

Im still not having any issue. I just updated it this morning with pamac which i normally don’t do but since i installed the tray indicator i felt the need to use it. 
This happened to you too? OMG…I’m baffled.

Okay people i just updated pamac on my Xfce machine too! So i have it on 3 machines with no issue?

And ours is infected with some kind of virus…
I’ve reinstalled pamac-gtk, for the fun of it, and now unable to update again. 
I have pamac-aur-git on all machines. I don’t know what to say?
Have anyone tried installing a desktop in virtual and then installing pamac-aur-git? I just installed deepin.

Edit: Okay …i give it the magic touch! 
It used to work before some update around 15th of March. The snapshot I reverted to was from 13th of March. When there was this update which somehow broke something.
