Whether old shows or relatively new shows, some seem to get canceled too soon.
- What shows do you miss?
- What shows would you have saved from the chopping block?
There are quite a few TV shows I miss and would have saved. But these two I consider prime examples of “gone too soon.”
I really loved Kung-Fu
. Of course I don’t know under which name the series ran in the USA
Kung Fu was FANTASTIC! It lasted 3 seasons (October 14, 1972 – April 26, 1975) and originally aired on the American television network ABC.
Mindhunter.
from childhood:
What was the Star Trek called with Scott Bakula as a pre-Kirk called? Unconventional for this canon–Was starting to grow on me. Why was that cancelled?
EDIT:
" Enterprise, originally titled simply Enterprise for its first two seasons, is an American science fiction television series created by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga. It originally aired from September 26, 2001 to May 13, 2005 on UPN. The sixth series in the Star Trek franchise, it is a prequel to Star Trek: The Original Series. short run for sure. they wouldn’t even show the whole syndicated run on my re-run station!
Firefly is my most beloved TV-Show of all time. But B5 ended quite well, and on a relly good, planned and well done Endpoint. I can’t imagine anything added to the storyarc to make it better…
(2) recent shows come to mind: The Serpent Queen and Sweetbitter. Thought that Becoming Elizabeth had potential as well, but only lasted (1) season.
Deadwood was one of the best western tv-shows ever made. I never understood why it had to be canceled without proper ending. That tv-movie they later made was ok, but it came too late.
KAOS - had a great set-up for a second season, then cancelled.
I’m old…my favorite childhood TV show was the ORIGINAL Battlestar Galactica, all one season of it ;(
Very few of my preferred TV shows ever had a suitable conclusion, most died far too young
Yeah, amazing the impact STOS had with only a three season run!
Yes the remake was GARBAGE. It was a soap opera.
