i decided to see the 100th item often to see anything changed. this is not a correct method but helps to quickly check for new entrants.
found goldendict in the 100th place. it supports multiple dictionaries.

thanks dalto,
means, it will be removed from repos, soon !
Maybe not removed from AUR, but the dev simply has not updated the packages for some reason. The dev may update it in the future, or not, we have no definitive way of telling.
You might want to look at the AUR page to see if there are any related comments or reasoning why the particular has not been updated.
If it is in the AUR, then it’s not in the repos. It can’t be removed from somewhere where it is not. The AUR is not a repository of packages, it’s a repository of user-made PKGBUILDs.
What happens to out-of-date packages? They may become orphaned and somebody else might take over their maintenance. Or they may remain out of date for a long time. Rarely, they get deleted.
thanks for taking the time in making the distinction glaring for me to understand.
opentofu appeared for the first time in the top 100 i think. some nvidia stuff catching the 100th spot. lot of flutter stuff all over the top … soon this may go. onlyoffice seems to be more popular the libreoffice
libreoffice is in the repos so the version most people install won’t be in a top AUR list.
ha, gotya
qt-sudo still reeling at number 1. noticed the sudden presence of xlibre-server
very interesting read on why the popularity
i can now see full/partial word containing wine, bottle, bin, android, ai.
megasync is new entry at the the 100th place
writing it by heart .. package managers paru and yay on the top now. dms the rising star of wayland. rustdesk ..
gave up .. loss of words .. referring the list .. privacy and performance focused browser and they cant beat brave yet. your usual suspects on the AI front. openoffice probably due to germany. (these are impressions i have, i know nothing and can be very very wrong in opinions, please pardon me for that).
