He knows, you know, everyone know it.
Please stop derailing, we’ve been through that.
Jeez guys, since when a freaking

The company also chose to perform its own investigation. In the case of Mark, the San Francisco father, Google employees looked at not just the photo that had been flagged by their mistaken AI, but his entire collection of family and friend photos.
Both the Houston Police Department and the San Francisco Police Department quickly cleared the fathers of any wrongdoing. But Google refused to hear Mark’s appeal or reinstate his account, even after he brought the company documentation showing that the SFPD had determined there was “no crime committed.” Remarkably, even after the New York Times contacted Google and the error was clear, the company continues to refuse to restore any of Mark’s Google accounts, or help him get any data back.
If you ask me, again a good reason to encrypt our files if they go on someone else computer ![]()
Yep…same with Apple.
Not to mention whoever has access to your hardware AI scanning of files that way - can easily plant something you have not had, to accuse and jail.
It goes against ethos of free software, freedom of speech and human freedom and dignity in general, it is disgusting.
I just can’t stop trying to fix things that are wrong. It’s my career, I do it all day everyday. It’s so hard for me to let things knowingly be broken. I will try and ignore it.
Is it possible to ignore a person in one thread? Maybe I’ll just turn him off in here
I think you misspoke, “Same with most web companies” ![]()
Goes without saying

But i mean those who is already or will in the future do that on hardware level…
We are almost they’re its just a question of time. When i see the state of the car market … Please god make my 206 live longer ![]()
The ways that car companies collect and share your data are so vast and complicated that we wrote an entire piece on how that works. The gist is: they can collect super intimate information about you – from your medical information, your genetic information, to your “sex life” (seriously), to how fast you drive, where you drive, and what songs you play in your car – in huge quantities. They then use it to invent more data about you through “inferences” about things like your intelligence, abilities, and interests.
Are you sure about it though?
Looks like there’s plenty of activity ![]()
This was 2 or 3 years ago.
Edit: Apparently it was worst that i was remembering.
I’m even more nervous about the hardware level. That will be significantly more difficult code to direct dissect and fix. I’m sure hacker groups somewhere eventually will figure it out though.
I really doubt any hacker could fix inside-CPU spyware for good though.
There will always be FUD of using such hardware, at least for me…
RISC-V is my best hope for the future yet.
I have also high expectation. They progressing fast, even more if you compare with the initial progression of Intel over the years.
I’ve pulled several trackers out of cars. Dealers put them in and sell them as anti theft devices. If installed they can refer render the car immobile with a phone call basically.
Usually installers are lazy and they are like right in the driver’s side kick panel. It’s like 6 wires and you’re done.
Unless it’s something like Chevrolet’s on star system. Avoid Chevrolet at all costs
Oh shit, I have one ![]()
Good to know, never heard of this.
One of the problem with modern car is for example the multiple microphones your car have for the hand free experience, voice assistance ect
On star can’t be removed, it’s thoroughly integrated into the car unfortunately.
We also have one. It’s not our only car though.
So now they can steal your car and upgrading it for free before selling it back ![]()
Edit: No way, its not fixable ![]()
