and in addition GCC was updated from 12.2 to 13.1 - which also caused rebuilds.

Yes, they’re still coming through. My 449.48 MiB above is now more than 600 MiB.

Yea this caught me off guard on EzArcher. I just installed it and finished install the last of my apps and decided to do a update only to have it tell me most of what I just installed had updates. :rofl:

One reboot and one AUR rebuild later, everything seems to be OK :sweat_smile:

Been through this, done that.

It actually “saved” my Arch system, while it really looked bad and ready to need a re-install after I’d been tinkering around with different DEs/WMs.

This update killed libfprint to the extent that GDM wouldn’t show any users to login with

Anyway, after much thrashing around journalctl i worked it out and removed all the fprint stuff (I never used it to login with anyway)

For once I managed to fix a broken install without seeking help from the always helpful forum :slight_smile:

250 packages for me. Could not upgrade at first due to a slow mirror but fixed that with Reflector. All packages then installed and upgraded. I had to rebuild some AUR packages but that was easy. Rebooted with no issues. :+1:

What happened?

pip is not there, a lot of python packages not working.

How do I rebuild?

edit: Oh, I think my mirrors are out of sync. I still have python 3.10.10-2
I think now is the waiting game till my mirrors sync-up, and then do a system update. Maybe it’ll fix itself I guess…

I also experienced the same thing. Being unable to log in to my desktop gave me a real shock first thing in the morning, but the serotonin boost from successfully fixing this issue myself is probably going to help me survive through the day. :laughing:

It’s a bummer though because I do use the fingerprint sensor all the time. I hope it gets back up and working again soon.
