As you have noticed, the forum was down for a long time and our apologies for that.
The issue was rather minor, I wasn’t at home when the forum went down and that’s why the downtime was that long.
Before you start commenting that we have to divide our tasks better, I’d like to emphasize that we are working with a small team and we do everything we can in the time available for the project.
The shutdown reason was an issue that rarely occurs, so it was just a case of Murphy’s law.
I hope you understand and have fun on the forum again ,
(yes, I know, the 2nd post on thread)
I am glad to have it back. I wanted to find/remember something I’d read recently (this was after it came back up though), quite easily did and thankful for the resource.
Sorry about that, it was clearly my fault as I decided to install Endeavour for the first time yesterday, as well as it being my first Arch based distro.
The forum would have been really handy, as every web search pointed me there, but have to say the distro is so good I still managed to get it up, printing (which never normally works), Steam fully working and even managed to rice my Budgie desktop. Great job and thanks for the hard work!
I’ve been in IT for over 30 years, mainly on the network, server & storage side of things and have experienced two major disaster recovery situations (one fire and one flood), both of which happened on a Sunday. Well done on getting it back up so quickly.
