This popped up in my RSS feed. I haven’t used Sparky Linux in years. I’ve downloaded the KDE ISO. I might give this a go on my laptop.
Yes it’s been a while since I’ve used Sparky, I remember I didn’t use it for too long but can’t remember why

I break out in hives on Debian based distros and really don’t like their typical upgrades between releases, but Sparky (which I used for a fair while, three to six months), seemed about as good as a your basic Debian based release can get.
I haven’t used Debian, or a Debian based distro in ages. I just like that it’s based on Debian Testing.
I wouldn’t call Debian testing rolling release. 
“Semi-Rolling”?
Mostly flat and smoking while skidding down the highway?
This is cool! I’ve always liked Debian but wished they were more up to date. Rolling is good! I will give it a spin.

Surprised to see they are only using 300 MB for /efi partition and don’t give a selection for fs.
Edit: Tried an install on vmware and the install failed!

I tried installing to bare metal and it won’t even start the installer. Say’s the kernel isn’t loaded. There must be an issue with the download link. So i’ll try another one.

Though to be honest, I’m a bit suprrised.
Well I’ve lost interest now! I tried another mirror and it’s probably the same ISO. It won’t start on bare metal. Say’s it’s missing the magic number you must load the kernel first! Very dissapointing to say the least! 
Just installed it because a upgrade of Siduction went wrong.
Some time ago had it installed and I didn’t like it because it handled themes not very well, that has not changed I have to say. Could update to the latest kernel with the aptus appcenter. The appcenter is nice but acts a bit weird sometimes.
All and all not bad but also not great.
I think this was actually why I stopped using it last time was something to do with this now that you mention it.
I’m not sure I would call it semi-rolling, when I was using testing, some software could be several versions late. 
A Debian SID based distro would be cool. I know there’s Siduction. But I’m not sure how active it is.
Just installed Siduction again and I can say it is pretty active , but at the moment there is a problem with a update (or as they call it upgrade) see the link below.
