There also is Pikaos that has been getting some good reviews on distrowatch.
It’s the distro I would try if I wanted to go back to a Debian based OS, and they have Hyprland and Niri editions.
Hopefully it won’t be flat by the time you install it. . .

I ended up installing Debian forky itself. I couldn’t even get Sparky linux installed from their ISO. Debian is great. Sparky doesn’t have the spark!
