Right, who ever heard of that shady EndeavourOS
That’s right, Hannah Montana Linux is much better known. EndeavourOS was inspired by it anyway with its purple color. Shamelessly copied …
Surely not 2885 people per day, that’s for guaranteed.
Could be a new thread, what are the shadiest Linux distros out there.
Here is what I found on the net.
Red Star. 100%
Ain’t no party like a Pyongyang party, cause Pyongyang parties are mandatory.
My opinion is that if the EOS were as sketchy as you write, it wouldn’t have been used by so many people for more than two years without any particular worries. Personally, I’ve been using it from the beginning and I haven’t had a particularly big problem with it yet, of course there are always minor bugs in the meantime, but these have still been discussed here in the forum.
Welcome aboard, hope you enjoy!
Welcome @FlooferLand. Enjoy!
A forum with 268,000 posts on 11,300 topics should tell you if EOS is serious or “sketchy”. Give it a try. Bye.

Yes, but they’re all post by bots with virus-ware attached. (sorry I just can’t help myself with flights of fantasy)
One way to be sure they are real, is to read them all
hei @discobot
Hi! To find out what I can do, say @discobot display help
.
Commit messages and repo descriptions should always be there honestly, even if they’re very short. It makes going trough the source code of a program wayy easier (since you can see what each change did, and you can see what each repository is about)
I’ve installed Endeavour like a few days ago and I’ve been loving it so far (even tho I’ve removed all/most of the packages from the Endeavour repo since I’m pretty used to working with Pacman and doing system maintenance)
I’ve also ran into some, issues. Which are just GPU-usage related, so i’m not sure whenever to make a new thread or not however since I don’t feel that issue is big enough to deserve it’s own thread.
Either way I think I’ve settled on EndeavourOS, since i don’t really feel a reason to distro-hop anymore. Now i’m just stuck in a loop of hopping between desktop environments XD
Watch out for those sketchers!
That is how it starts,
I have the same. I’m not a very distrohopper anymore either, my main system is the EOS, although I didn’t give up on testing either.
It to me a long circuitous path to arrive at EndeavourOS, and I am really glad I made it! I bought a reconditioned ASUS TUF A15 from Best Buy a year ago, and the grey hairs, oh man, have they multiplied. Talk about sketchy. Something about this hardware has brought twelve different distros to their knees. Sometimes immediately. Sometimes after enough time went by that I thought I might have landed somewhere permanently.
With EndeavourOS however, everything just works. For example, Space Engineers on Steam. No messing with protontricks, etc. It just works. Well.
This distro is ROCK SOLID. (crosses fingers)
Thank you for giving EndeavourOS a try, and welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy your time here.

We’d all be a lot safer on TempleOS. I’m downloading the iso now. Ten times better than sketchy EOS and those flaky devs on that ghost town they call a “forum”.
What do you mean by that?
I only ask because I do not quite understand what you mean by sketchy EOS
Edit: nevermind I misunderstood it sorry
