Just got off a plane yesterday, I was MIA across country for a week.
I go to update:
[drunkenvicar@endeavour ~]$ yay

so…..reset the Reflectors, mirrors, -Syyu. Sleep on it overnight…
Next day: SAME ReSULT
Best path to fixing?
And thank you much
Everything is OK on my end. I don’t think it’s an AUR issue as the status looks fine.
To be on the safe side, maybe update all your mirrors and try again?
UPDATE EOS MIRRORS:
eos-rankmirrors --verbose
UPDATE ARCH MIRRORS:
reflector --protocol https --verbose --latest 25 --sort rate | sudo tee /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
thanks for checking the other channels.
ran these commands last night but it changed nothing.
it’s a new day so I will try them all again and report back. thanks Uncle

no changes but once I figure out what “Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers” means I may get somewhere….but laundry awaits…then beer
Well, no clue why the rpc is failing in your case. But there is a workaround, the grimaur-git package within the AUR. Check their github repo here , it’s an AUR helper that has the option to fall back to the official git mirror in case the rpc isn’t available. Or could be forced manually by passing the --git-mirror to the grimaur update command.
Haven’t tested it myself up so far, as I didn’t had any issues with the rpc lately.
in the update mirrors command:

I know that’s only 2-3 mirrors but I wonder if timeout is set too small.

The output shows no active mirrors.
You could try command
eos-rankmirrors -b --timeout 60
Did you by any chance overwrite the mirrorlist with the pacnew list ? Because I have noticed when you do that the servers on the list will have a # in front of them.

this is how that command always ends:
“Writing new ranked EndeavourOS mirrorlist to /etc/pacman.d/endeavouros-mirrorlist.”

Can you now show your latest endeavouros-mirrorlist?
For better readability, please copy the list between two lines of 3 backticks (```), for example
```
All contents here
between the backtick lines!
```
What I meant was the “Arch” mirrorlist not the endeavouros-mirrorlist to avoid any confusion.
Exactly. Much easier to read. @drunkenvicar , then,your above post would look like this…

Yes, and the mirrorlist is corrupt for an unknown reason.
I have to take formatting class it was just as putrid with back ticks as it was with no ticks at all

And your original issue was with the AUR…
Would be no surprise if I had several issues
I have this sensation that problem is staring me in the face and I’m not seeing it…

In fact you could start with updating the native packages first:
sudo pacman -Syu
and see if that goes well.
But by the looks of your earlier output that should be OK, right?
pacman updates splendidly. just did that
