Nice toolkit!
But that will probably not help with wet laptops

Maybe I should use something like this?..

But seriously, does anybody have experiences from keyboard protectors for laptops? Are they useful? At our library we have used keyboard protectors on our customer’s workstations during pandemic, because they are easier to keep sanitized. The biggest problem with these protectors is reflections. It’s difficult to type if you can’t see the right keys.

I haven’t used any keyboard cover skin but perhaps I should be looking into it since I have been close to the disaster of “wet laptops” a couple of times myself

This is working out much better than I expected, I can completely cover the hole in the door! I originally thought I’d run the beer line through the front but I can put it through the hole in the side with the gas line!

I’m disappointed - only got 10 years troublefree from the predecessor to this one, and they say it’s good for 5 !!

Should keep me up and running a while yet…

New to me, not brand new. Surprisingly has 2 Dimms still, so upgraded to 32GB ram. Swapped in an AX210 to replace the AX200, and replaced the 2230 512GB w/ a 2280 1TB. Surprisingly nice laptop for the price. The 1.40 BIOS that it had on performance of the 5700U was TERRIBLE. Upgrading to 1.60 made a giant difference. So much, that Geekbench 4 multithread scores went up 7,000 points, literally just with a BIOS update.

I’ve had quite a few Dells in my time (the laptop I do all of my bare metal test installs on is a Dell 7548). Very solid, very reliable little computers. Congrats!
