By the way… If we talk about the topic…
Got a CamelBak for 2 liters. It fit in my backpack like it was there. Now I can have 3.5 liters of isotonic with me - enough for many kilometers
I’ve just split a big 36-post chunk off this thread so we can talk in peace about cars and whatnot and not to monopolize this thread with off-topic posts.
Here’s the link to the new thread again:
Thanks for the split! OT is a fact of my life - sorry!
My M570l has been annoying me since day one, while the old one still mostly works, the new one has never worked all that well, and lately has been a bit flakey, sometimes just refusing to work out of the blue. Throw in that I think wireless is silly on a trackball, at least in most situations, and I’ve gone wired. Reviews were pretty good for this, and I think I like it. Low DPI is a touch slow, but close enough with no drivers or config files needed. Interesting thing is that that small top button triggers which is how I switch applications, and I think I like it. I am having a little trouble with the forward and back buttons, but I think that’s just a matter of getting used to it. Oh, and that black thing is a base, that’s the tall one and I’m using the shorter one, they adjust the height and angle of the trackball to reduce wrist strain.
Interesting fact: all Siamese cats are cross-eyed.
Breathed some new life into my daily driver, an 8 year old Honda PCX. I installed a new seat. I will be taking the old one to an upholstry shop to have it redone, but it will take a couple of weeks.
I once had a Perixx keyboard which was, unfortunately, total crapola.
Even this seat makes it look like it’s in pretty good shape - especially if it’s a commuter!
@freebird54 Thank you. I do 90% of the upkeep on it. When I say daily driver, I truly mean it. Here I can ride all year round. It has a 150cc motor and is limited to 110km/h, so it will not be breaking any speed records. It is perfect for the daily grind, and it has been very reliable. Other than having to do the consumables, oil, brake pads, shocks, etc… nothing has gone wrong with it. We do have a car, a Nissan March (Micra in Canada), but the only time we drive it is for groceries or the occasional “date night”. We bought it used 8 years ago with 45,000 km on it, and we just hit 80,000 km.
We only can get this here. I like the one you have!
Should the rear wheels be trax and the front skis for you?
I think this would be a lot of fun for just around town. @3599 Cdn
This is what I fantasize about riding around town but I want two extra batteries and all the baskets. No way to afford that on a disability income though
I could take a cat to the vet and go grocery shopping at aldi in the next town over or go to the farmers Sunday market with this thing. I could with extra batteries, ride it to the Maryland shore for a day trip in the summer.
Problem is I can’t afford it either @ $2400 Cdn plus the batteries are over $600 ea. and to top that off they don’t have stock anyway!
Edit: But it is nice!
fun fact. the pandemic has seen an upsurge in ebike sales primarily to women. last year that bike was selling for 1400 us. prices are increasing across the board for ebikes, tvs and computers.
zoom zoom zoom
i have ebike envy
This is nice for some people. I’m not a big fan of the ebikes and scooters that are; in our Country and Province not required to be licenced. As a motorcycle enthusiast i prefer regular gas powered motorcycles, street bikes etc that are licensed for the road. I’m pretty sure this one falls into the unlicensed category here.
I will say I have some concerns, reviews were good, but I’ve heard stories. Oh well, can’t be any worse than the music player I got a few weeks ago, I just went in and lowered my review to one
I want a ruckus so badly!
Top speed is only 40 Mph
Not if you build it right it’s not. Let me know when you’re ready. I’ll get you setup!
