Pretty nice double-walled espresso cups ![]()
I didn’t expect much from the kit at first, but after a quick initial setup, I’m pleasantly surprised.
It’s pretty playable and the neck feels really smooth.
The colors also look good, in my opinion.
Seems like I was wrong about the kit. For the price, it all feels really good.
We had a old Meuller vegetable dicer that we have used for years. It finally gave up the ghost.
Found this one as a replacement. It does everything except turn on the oven.
Now I have to make some Pasta e fagioli to try it out.
Pudge
Good toy, we have something like this as well in our household.
I got one of these too, though I bought mine from a classmate who spent like two weeks buffing and polishing it to get it to a more playable state. But I’ve had it for 20 years now and it’s a good beater guitar. I’ve recorded a couple albums with it.
Even if I don’t solder on a regular basis, I’ve invested in a Pinecil which is an soldering iron that use Type B soldering tips. And actually has it’s own RISC-V SoC and could be powered by USB PD / QC 3.0 via USB-C or an 24V power supply via barrel jack.
I’ve been using an pretty basic soldering station up so far which usually gets the job done. But it’s impractical and pretty to slow to heat up. So now I can just grab my old reliable powerbank, only struggle with one cable and can essentially retire that old mains powered soldering iron for good.
Only annoyance: The official EU distributor asks a significant higher price (67.50 €) instead of the price from the manufacturer ($25.99). Therefore I imported it from China directly, paid 2.96€ VAT and the 7.50€ handling fees for a total of 32.46€ which is still half the price of the EU distributor.
I’ve been playing this guitar for a few days now, and it’s holding up really well compared to my “finished” guitars. I might modify it further in the future (locking tuners, different pickups), but right now I’m really happy with it.
I don’t own any really expensive guitars and I’m just a hobbyist. But at least I can say that this kit compares very favorably to my Yamaha Pacifica 311H, which is very playable and nicely built.
That’s pretty high praise; Pacificas are a great value. I’ve owned a couple of Pacificas (not that exact model) and played quite a few more, and they never disappoint for playability (I did upgrade the electronics, though, but I did that with almost any guitar, even pricey high-end models).
I read this like two days ago, and today I won a Pinecil at a competition ![]()
I have never soldered anything before, but now that I have one I will probably do something
Finally got a watch after decades of never wearing one, and this thing rocks. It s an Apple Ultra 3.
How they get such vibrant bass and crisp treble in tiny little speakers is beyond me.
I need to get myself some decent headphones this week, somebody decided they needed mine more than me the other week.
1000W ROG Loki for my SFF build. I plan to slap a 9800X3D and 9070XT in this bad boy and then liquid cool everything (including memory and SSD). Will probably take the next year or two to finish, student loans are not very lucrative lmfao.
An OLED is definitely on my to-do list.
This one isn’t OLED but certainly a lot better than my old one.
