The Cooler is a Noctua NH-D15S with 2x Noctua NF-A15 PWM 1500 rpm (the Standard A15 PWM (not Chromax (Chromax are 1500 rpm too) are only 1200 rpm).

I hope that was meant with the 140 mm or was that referring to the case?

No i was referring to the fan size 140mm. I have the NH-D15 dual fan & heatsink set up.

Even with a simple DeLonghi Dedica I can make a good espresso with it. About 25 sec extraction with 16 gr espresso makes about 35gr of the finest espresso. It’s really good for a start. I must have made 20 espressos until it was about right.
This machine really has very fine grind settings. I can get even more out of it. I got it today. That was just the beginning

Nice machine! :hot_beverage:
You got it today and made 20 espresso? What about your heart rate? Blood pressure?

 Everything ok so far
Of course I didn’t drink 20 espressos. Just sipped to taste if everything was right

New-To-Me Custom Built PC

A friend of mine finished building a brand new gaming rig, so he offered me the one he is replacing for (U.S.)$200. I’ll be starting a thread in a bit for video card recommendations to replace the ancient, 11 year old Nvidia card. See specs below.

MSI Based Gaming PC, he said it’s about 4 years old.

  • Corsair case, mid-tower size
  • MB: MSi Z370 GAMING M5
  • PSU: Corsair CX750M
  • CPU: Intel i7-8700k 3.7GHz
  • GPU: Nvidia Quadro K2200
  • RAM: 32GB DDR4
  • STORAGE: : Samsung 960 EVO 500GB SSD
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro

Images he sent me of it on his work bench. He’s going to clean the enclosure and send it next week. The inside is already nearly immaculate. I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS!!

So I always check the possible ages of some hardware on a (Dutch) site that has a so called pricewatch section. In that pricewatch section you can look up since when the hardware was available. Now here are the results of the jury.
PSU end 2012 MTBF 100000
GPU 2014 (that is about right I think)
CPU 2017
SSD 2016
MOBO 2017

So I think there is a good chance the 4 years old thing is somewhat optimistic.

It’s about a 4 year old buld. GPU, as I stated above in the OP, I was aware of. CPU: Intel i7-8700k 3.7GHz I was also aware of as I searched for it as well. Same for the MSI motherboard.

Regardless, this will crush my meager MiniPC. May not be a “top of the line” by today’s standards. But for me, this is top of MY line.

Could be but the PSU I would be worried about, think it would be a small wonder that is still working and might be close to EOL. That said I think $200 is not (dare I say) friendly price at all, but that ofcourse is for you to decide

Brand new for $89: Corsair CX750M

But how do you know it is (even close to) brand new , that is my point.

It’s new in the box, sealed. Never used. From a reputable seller, Best Buy.

No I mean the one that is in the PC right now, sorry for the confusion.

Oh, I misunderstood. Sorry. I can find out. I’ll call him tomorrow. I do know the Motherboard, CPU and Samsung Nvme SSD were all purchased new when he built the rig. That leaves the power supply and RAM.

This should work well for you. I also have an Asus Z370 Pro Gaming Motherboard in a mid tower similar to this with an Intel I7-8086K 50th Anniversary Processor and 32 GB DDR4 memory with an 500 GB nvme drive, and SSD and a 4 TB HD with an Nvidia GTX 1060.

@keescase, so I texted him regarding the Corsair CX750M PSU. He said while the model itself is 2012, he installed it new when building the PC 4-5 years ago. He likes that model enough that he still has another, new-in-box with his PC parts.
