Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-504C II Replacing my Klipsch Reference Next-Generation R-50C. I’ve sampled some DTS-HD MA 7.1 media and I can say that this is an incredible upgrade.

Don’t mind my improvised speaker stand. It will do for now.

Just ordered an, Evil Off-Road 3rd brake light mount. I think the optional Baja Design S3 Pro lights that come with it will serve as good reverse lights. They may also be handy for the occasional tailgater :sunglasses:.

Aahhhh, a fellow audiophile

These are the first mangas I ever bought. I’ve seen the anime and had often read that the manga of the series are supposed to be so much better.

Let’s see if that’s true.

Had to renew my car insurance. Liberty Mutual tried to jack my rates from 2400/yr to 3200/yr, so got a quote from my OLD insurance company, Progressive. $1700/yr. So with the savings, I’m moving to Wifi 7. TP-Link BE19000/Arch BE800. Not the best WiFi 7 router, but got it open box for under $400.

I dipped my feet in… lol.

My old HP 250g passed away some time ago and I was wondering what the hell I’m going to do now. No more distro hopping, no more useless tinkering. No worries, I ordered myself a refurbished Thinkpad T460. Nice little machine. I like sturdy keyboard and 16GB memory. 165,90€ is not much of this little gem…

this is a suggestion I hadn’t thought of, I can look for a cheap nvme ssd

Look into Kingston NV2’s or Crucial P3’s. Those are the best budget NVME drives in my personal experience.

I was already sick and tired of my daily driver’s Super key having a Windows logo on it so I decided to change it.

In addition to those cute little Super key stickers, there were some hologram stickers included. Now I can say my Dell has been successfully transformed into a Linux laptop.

Have a lot of wildlife in the area I live in. So I broke down and bought these and I have to say for the price they are very nice. I have been watch a rabbit eat on the grass for the past few minutes and it was great just watching nature do its thing.

Got it in. Not as smooth a setup as most of my recent machines. Have to set a BIOS password to be able to disable secure boot, and audio isn’t working on Endeavour. But, most everything else seems to be working.

Edit: Found a fix for the audio. If anyone thinks about getting this laptop, Create file /etc/modprobe.d/disable_dmic.conf with content:

options snd_hda_intel dmic_detect=0
options snd_hda_intel dsp_driver=1

reboot and you’ll have sound!!

It took 6 months to pull all of this together, but bumper is finally done, and installed.

Finally upgraded my HP Victus 16 from 2 DDR4 stciks with 8gb in total up to 32GB.
Zram and Swap were a lifesaver for the last year and a half.

Got a new laptop after using my previous Lenovo Legion for 5 years. The old one (i5 9300h, 16GB RAM, Nvidia GTX1650) is still a fantastic piece of hardware and runs as smooth as butter (including games),

New one’s specs are i5 13450, 16GB RAM, Nvidia RTX4060.

The screen on this thing is just so much better than on the previous one. With the new one being 16:10 aspect ration, it feels almost twice as large.
The colours are saturated and pop in a way that just leaves me incredibly impressed.

Next on the shopping list is an m2 SSD, as my old Lenovo uses a standard size SATA SSD ,which there is no room for in the new model.
I keep each OS on its separate disk.

I’m a big fan of my Legion (17IMH, i7 10750H, RTX2060), Lenovo’s move of putting the majority of the I/O along the back and just extending the casing instead of cramming it all in down the sides to push the hinges right back and turn my lap/desk into a nightmare spiderweb has made me dread a possible future where I have to replace it with something from any other OEM.

Only the power connector and HDMI are on the back on this model, the rest of the ports (3 USB A, 2 USB-C, micro sd card slot and an audio jack) are all on the sides, which works fine for me.

Power connector being on either side, instead of the back, is something that I am not a fan of at all.
It creates this weird disbalance for me, just hate it.
