Bravo
you are very intelligent
I’ve referenced this like a 1000x. I hate how true this is. Washington would weep if he were alive today.
Nah… he would enjoy the pancakes.

Beyond the memes, having rm -rf ~/* & 2> /dev/null inside a shell script actually seems like a threat to me. Won’t need any password, and the process being forked, won’t block execution of script (so the user doesn’t suspect)
Akchshually, the existence of the prompt ‘$’ shows this is an interactive shell session and not a script.

Brings back memories. Except I only had one teletype and it was out on the floor instead of in the computer room.
Pudge
At least teletype input beat card input only! Oh - and don’t drop the card stack and lose the order…
That’s why we used cardboard tapes (not sure about the translation) instead of cards.
I still miss my old Atari 1040 STE (GEM Desktop/TOS 2.06/2MB RAM(!) load everything from floppys, no multitasking). It’s insane, what I have now is so much better but part of my mind just can’t let go of the memories. Do you remember the first time you had sex?
What is this “sex” thing you speak of?
[onyx@onyx-laptop ~]$ sudo pacman -S sex
[sudo] password for onyx:
error: target not found: sex
Did you look in AUR?
hm …, maybe in the AUR? NOT as a snap!
If it is only available as a snap, I won’t have it.
