This is why the US military avoids using windows on anything important. (It is definitely not because they have sensitive data that they donāt want microsfot getting their hands on and spreading around, no, THIS is the reason.)
Yer they just stick to XP and pay millions for patches from what I have heard (I may be really wrong my sources for this are youtube

XP still had NSA backdoors, but it wouldnāt surprise me if they had a special military version of windows XP or something honestly.
Pretty sure they mostly just use Linux and/or BSDs for the important shit.

no literally i remember reading about them making some super destroyer mounted with railguns and shit a couple years back that was running most of itās core systems on linux.
