Watching this brought back a lot of memories. Using UNIX at work in the second half of the seventies. My Sinclair ZX1, the TI 99A, then starting the x86 staircase, 286, 486, etc.
Here is a picture of the bottom shelf of my bookcase. Before broadband internet, fast search engines, and all kinds of info online, here is how one learned to utilize computers and write code. I would hate to even guess how many dollars that shelf represents.
Now the question is, how much of the content of those books is still retained in my little pea brain.

As we get older by the hour… our brains will keep (hopefully) concentrating on the important lessons learned.
I am 72 yrs old, and one thing I can guarantee is that that 0% of the Mircrosoft Macro Assembler is still hanging around in my brain.
