It is not just appearance - it WORKS like old-school too! Very to the point, logical and understandable - but perhaps a bit clunky feeling now for some of us that have been spoiled by XFCE et al. MATE would be a good choice as a ‘gotta get the work done’ interface, though - just no extras that I’ve found in my distro travels…

Man, that Minolta XG 35 mm SLR film camera sure brings back memories. My first camera after the Kodak Brownie point and shoot. There were several models in the XG series, mine was a XG-M considered the epitome of the XG series.
