I just did the netinstall and chose just “installer” and it felt a lot more like archfi. And you’re right, it’s MUCH MUCH cleaner. It still came with gnome-games which is simple to remove but there isn’t a bunch of terminals, dictionaries and whatever else. This is a much better option. I’m going to format and try the “graphical” option. There’s a LOT of options on how to install debian.
One year anniversary for Endeavour on my desktop. I have had to restore it once using snapper and a few other things using the community, but this is the first time a system has lasted this long. That is saying something because I am rough on systems.
I am amazed on the stability Arch has. And they say Arch is the most unstable? Yeah right. They must be Manjaro users.
When the system breaks I am almost excited because I learn so much about the system when I fix it. Out of my 18 years on linux I have not learned as much as I have this year alone.
You made me cry, I was laughing that hard. ![]()
Seriously. I missed out years of enjoying Arch because of my failed attempts using Manjaro. I though it was “Arch” but was sadly mistaken.
Very nice, love the way the text looks in the logo
I used to think the same until someone pointed out to me that Manjaro by holding back packages for additional testing is not following the Arch standards.
I still get cringe when i see these idiot videos creator recommending Manjaro as a good start. I want to go in an explain to them that Manjaro should only be recommended to Your Enemies but realize they are not worth my time if they don’t know any better than to give bad advice.
For a brief moment i thought i had shared my fastfetch ![]()
You most definitely did and if it wasn’t for that it would look very dull indeed.

Thanks Smokey, just added a little drop shadow to the logo in Gimp. ![]()
I thought so, a bit of shadowing can make a huge difference
