Well I ended up building what will probably be my final rig, Fractal Define 7 case, it’s an absolute beast on Linux and will probably outlive me
Really impressed with AMD’s GPU driver quality. Incredibly grateful for the flexibility of Linux, and more so for KDE Plasma.
Back on EOS for the new rig, no major customisations other than IBM Plex as the primary font. Another donation coming through to say thanks for being the “sigh of relief” that is Linux and in this case, Endeavour. Long may the journey continue!

swaylock-effects has atleast a clock ![]()
I know but it seems to be very unmaintained and I don’t really need clock since my screen turns of when idle ![]()
I use Gnome and I don’t have that problem, I click shutdown and then it shuts down the system or am I misunderstanding the problem you are having?
I guess @anon26269396 means that it takes four mouse clicks to power off the system from the quick settings menu. One click to open the menu, one click on the power icon and so on.
I see now, I have that too. The other option would be to change the power button behavior. The default is to suspend, the other option would be to make it power off, so that way you only have to press one button to power off the system.
I wanted to try Gnome after all these years of Openbox, Gnome works great on Wayland but it’s not for me. ( My needs are simple ) ![]()
Define simple, I think that definition will be different depending on who you ask? I use Gnome because I like it because it’s simple for me and I the only customization I do now days is changing my wallpaper.
Openbox, jgmenu and tint2.
I love your wallpaper!! Can you share the link to where you got that wallpaper?
I think I found it already.
