No, with styleproject you can create a preset for color-scheme and select the programs you want to make use of that color scheme.
I do have qt5ct, and I changed the style to StyleProject from there.
which DE are you using ?
Should not matter, but I tried it with kde4 and xfce4.
Try to remove qt5ct and see if that helps, the dev told me he has no intention to update it to qt6 so i see no reason in creating a dsp conf if you have qt5ct installed, having qt5ct installed will affect the appearance of the programs and you would need a completely different dsp.conf for that

I’m confused, why would having qt5ct change this? All qt5ct does is set QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME when you set that variable to qt5ct. I can manually set it by using the -style argument, in which case qt5ct is completely overridden.
Anyways because I right now can’t get the qt 4 version to compile either, I’ll instead try to use qtcurve for this

I have been tinkering around with AwesomeWM on my laptop. For the record, it is not as easy to manipulate as i3 is, but it has way more features out of the box.
