One of the things I love about this community is that so many of us are not afraid to slap all sorts of DEs and WMs on top of EndeavourOS/Arch/Linux just from sheer curiosity without fear. It certainly helps that we have a good stable distro as a base. Even if some are not officially supported everyone still has enthusiasm for what can be achieved. It’s great fun! MATE is a decent DE, although not one I have used for a long time.

It’s ok. It’s not really my thing honestly, but it’s probably the DE I’ve used the least (other than lxqt, which just irritates me) and wanted to play around with it.
We certainly don’t seem to have that issue here lol. I love seeing what everyone is doing, and what can be done. It’s how I learn.
I’m fortunate enough that I’ve basically dedicated my old Dell laptop to EOS testing. For the last iso alone I probably installed ~100+ times bug testing, and others here made that number look small. It’s constant as packages change things can break (the down side of Arch). Using everything also helps if others need it - yesterday someone asked about binding the whisker menu. I could help and I don’t really even use xfce.
I’m always trying things and trying to break things so you all don’t have too!

This is a pretty open forum, you can use any Arch based system you like and still be welcome to post and ask questions. This is one of the main reasons why I really like this community.

Cause there’s a lot of us who use both. There’s a lot of us who can very happily use Arch all day/everyday. . . and yet we still like to help others who either want to be there and are learning. . . or are just too lazy to bother.
You’re welcome to share your desktop regardless. I think I’ve even posted up Mint and Ubuntu in the past. There’s even been a couple lunatics who’ve posted up Windows. . .
