No offense … i have never gotten used to an empty desktop and i also don’t like it full either with widgets or conkies. I have my KDE the same and Mate and Cinnamon. I guess it’s a habit! :worried:

That looks like EndeavourOS Budgie after I theme it. I never tried putting icons on the desktop, but I assume it can be done.

I haven’t been able to figure out how to put Icons on the desktop on EndeavourOS Budgie. Can’t figure out what package it needs.

Never saw one that wasn’t black! Also 220 was always enough for me (and it’s km/h at that!)

I can mention that I always have the Delft icon sets loaded and available. They are basically an update on the Faenza icons - but the thing I really like is that it is a LARGE set (haven’t found any holes yet) and comes in multiple colours and purposes as well, Here’s a list:

Delft icon list

One of the nice things is that the ‘Darkest’ sets use light colours for things like the music app controls (FFWD, REW etc) and similar things in other apps. MUCH appreciated for Dark theme users who wasnt to see the secondary controls!

I have to assume you haven’t found any of them useful yet. Not the case for everyone! (see desktop posts earlier in the thread). It can be very helpful to have the weather, the time zones of the people you are corresponding with, performance metrics like temps and fan speeds, IP addys to be sure your VPN is active, and whether and which updates are available only a glance away…

Of course, it helps that I am now running a 4K screen!
