I think its one of the most beautiful themes and makes the difference… I am not a theme developer i just try new themes (sometimes i make changes in default themes )and combinations for a nice view desktop. I hope the new endeavour os iso including new themes and a nice i3 conf
i3conf, .Xresources (for my urxvt terminal), i3blocks, i3status and i3lock. I prefer use default i3bar with some changes in i3conf for width and colors and icons. I dont use polybar or lemonbar. U can do any change u want on default i3bar through i3conf. Another conf i like to play with is cmus conf ( media player ), already added in my i3bar, cli-visualizer and conky. Thats all i have until now.
The screenshot of my desktop is the default background and 2 rxvt terminals opened (100% transparent background on .Xresources ) and i typed the pactree command
I have run both (manjaro spins both). bspwm is more intuative, I think. It also splits windows in a fractal / leaf pattern, which I feel is more logical.
@Beardedgeek72 is kinda correct. It’s about how you tile the windows. in i3 you tile horizontal or vertical - while bspwm uses east, west, north or south so it-s more intuitive where you want your next window to go. Also bspwm is controlled by bspc which means you can change things on the fly without editing the config file. And the config file in bspwm is just like 8 lines of bashscript - so its easy to change/add to bspwm’s behaviour if you know how to write shell scripts. (or if you know how to copy paste ) i3 strongest selling point is all about the documentaion. I think it’s almost on par with Archwiki
Just thought I’d try this wallpaper with some of the default theme choices. (Greybird wasn’t default, I added that. It looks better than Adwaita.) The xfce4 panel on the left is normally always hidden.
Uploaded album to imgur
So - two things left to do - make my own oomox theme - but I’m kinda satisfied with this gtk theme too. Sweet looks amazing. I found it here so thanks to whomever that posted it. And the last thing is to remove the scrollbar in rofi. Then I’m done
Here’s something you don’t see: the BlackBox window manager (the precursor to OpenBox) running on the Windows XP kernel, running in VirtualBox on EndeavourOS. This very Linux-like VM is my only remaining windows-compatible install.
