Wiped all my drives, and have gone with a single OS: Endeavour ![]()
I had been playing around with CachyOS, in an attempt to solve a bug with World of Warcraft, which turned out to be Wayland. So once I figured that out I went back to Endeavour and XFCE for its X11 session, and no issues since.
Re-installed fresh today as my sole operating system, so I’m finally free of Windows 11!
WoW re-installed, and I now have 9tb of space dedicated to using EOS full time - for Steam games, web browsing, raiding in WoW, everything I need/want to do on my PC, I can now do full time in Linux.
Feels nice ![]()
PS: I do need to switch up the wallpapers ![]()
live background streamed from the webcam inside the Case of your PC now ? ![]()
That’s not actually a bad idea!
It’s just a cell phone shot, in gonna get out my actual Fujifilm DSLR and re create it.
Best looking car ever. One day…
I think you need to buy another SSD or 2. ![]()
Thanks!
Here, if you’d like it.
I went with 2 x 4tb data drives because I knew price rises were incoming, and also any more drives will interfere with pcie lanes on my motherboard ![]()
So yeah this system now should see me ok for at least 5yrs. And given how expensive most components are getting, maybe longer.
But that’s the beauty of Linux, no-one forcing our hardware to be unnecessarily obsolete like Win11 did! ![]()

Wish I had a chance to stock up. I have 6 drives on my server totaling about 7 TB and it is almost full. Movies, shows and 20+ years of photos add up quickly.
