Random bugs are not joyfully troubleshooted :face_with_head_bandage:

Check and confirm available disk space and enough entropy (first 2 entries in Troubleshooting).

Also read the disclaimers about Wayland. If not for an important reason, I would advise staying on Xorg for a while more with Plasma/SDDM.

Do you even read the answers???
I don’t understand your comments, really. Are you pointing at the problem you have found, so we can see it? Because I can’t see anything in what you post. Sorry… :person_shrugging:

First, do as advised and answer any questions asked. If we need more info/logs, someone will ask what is needed.

Have you read EnOS wiki, about how to post info? Post info.

Parts of your log, that you choose to cut and post until now, say nothing, at least to myself. :person_shrugging:

you solve it?

it started working again - did nothing but there was some updates and one of them probably fixed it

I ‘awake’ this topic again for a similar problem…
In my case, it is referred to the sddm-helper (Actually, I use Gnome on wayland)…

sddm-helper[1171]: gkr-pam: unable to locate daemon control file

I’ve found this therad on the arch forum (reffered to the sddm-password) but before doing commands that I’mnot able to reset I would know if this is the correct way to solve it.
I started to experience a non-reading theme for sddm days ago. In the config file it seems to be everything good.
Basically it runs using the default vanilla theme. I can log in without problems but sometime it log out without any reason.
I also tried to set lightdm just to get a try, but it seem to lock the mouse functionality, so I need to restart and set again sddm, using it with this little issue.
Anyone knows why this behaviour from it?
Was change something in some update?

Please create a new thread!

Your issue may seem similar, but it may have other causes:

And you use sddm and/or lightdm as display manager?
GNOME uses gdm.

I always used sddm

gdm is meant to be used as default display manger of GNOME.

You might have been lucky not having issues with it so far. But now you have.

If you are looking for a viable solution, remove any and all other display managers and replace them with GDM.

I have installed a huge amount of desktop environment, for that I never uninstalled it
About this:

I guess that EndeavourOS is more stable than expected. Being myself just a little more than a base user, it means that this OS is well done! And this makes me feel happy to support foss!

GNOME is rather picky about the display manager being used. It likes and works best with its own default display manager GDM.

It is up to you if you want to chase down the rabbit hole and troubleshoot an issue with a display manager meant to be used with another DE or just simply replace them.

Also, please don’t post further in this one year old thread.
Your issue seems to have other causes than OP’s using kde-sddm-wayland-nvidia.

Open a new thread and refer to these posts if you want.

Good luck!
