This is the 2nd times greeter stop. one in 10.24 and other in 10.26.
problem
sddm-greeter suddenly stop. There is no input panel to input pwd to login. Mouse can move by touchpad. Background image still there. Bluetooth not working. Before stop, I run firefox, qbitorrent, ffmpeg, everyting fine. then I go out for lunch. It got wrong when I am back.
get into tty2. Bluetooth works. my program still running(firefox, qbitorrent), I got some experience about DE stuck. so I find sddm-greeter stop. I try to restart it but fail. so I restart sddm and work out. But that cause a problem, firefox, ffmpeg and qbitorrent are closed. Luckily I do not need to save data from firefox or qb. the output of ffmpeg still in /tmp/tmp.mp4. maybe ffmpeg finished work before restart sddm.
I learn REISUB from this forum. so I stop try reboot ot force reboor.

1st DE problem here. not known reason. sovled by sudo systemctl restart display-manager. 2nd and 3rd DE problem, a little diffenent from 1st. touchpad works. Knowing sddm-greeter stop.
2nd stop 10.24
2nd I sovled it by sudo systemctl restart display-manager temporary. And I check log and find many rslsync. so I think it is the reason. so after that I stop it and disable it.
log file got 17 000 lines. L1682~L16660(10.23 23:02:26 - 10.24 00:00:48) is about rslsync

3rd stop 10.26
3rd I sovled it by sudo systemctl restart sddm temporary. Because I make sure this time this way will close my program like firefox. (sddm== display-manager)
log’s size is 17M and quite long. The point is the log file is useless because it did not record any about this DE problem. the time show that it stop at 10.24 00:00:52, which is the day before yesterday. The break time should between 10.26 12:30~13:30. so not know what happen.
status of display-manager and bluetooth is the same as 2
