A new save screen, will be using the bottom one (still need to change text colours but leaving all text til last)
Wonder what might be here?
So I just ran into some new invisible tiles during a test playthrough, this seems to be the only map with them so I donât what I did different here.
The skill and patience you have with this project is inspiring. I donât know that I would have what it takes to do such a project. Well done so far!
Thanks, I would say patience comes into it more than skill (though a little skill is needed). Makes me understand why other fan games that I tried out years ago as demos are still only about 60 to 70% complete.
Fixed up (hopefully) all invisible walls on the above map, finished off the encounter set for the forest on the other side of the city (except for 1, going to try make a switch for it so it only activates when all the bosses have been defeated (5 implemented so far and 2 to add in, I think, Iâm starting to lose track as one of those bosses is fought multiple times but heâs pretty easy)
Use an outline to not only set up what you should do next, but also what youâve done so far.
Itâs tedious, but very useful in most cases.
Yer I have a rough guideline, there is just a few things that I have added on a whim or when I had issues with the backup copies have to make sure I have added back in as keep running across stuff that I thought I had done which isnât.
Going to get some butchers paper tomorrow so I can plan out a world map a lot better, I was doing it in a book but I think on the wall nice and large will be better to work off.
Thought you were joking, then

We all have our process. I probably need something analog too, because digital doesnât work for me as well as I think it should when it comes to getting stuff done.
Yer itâs a lot easier on paper to roughly map out areas, I just put a reference next to it and mark the areas if they are meant to be trees, a building etc.
When planning out encounters I use the computer though as I have made up a few lists (1 with all pokemon and the rest by type with their idenifiers and numbers) and it is way easier to just copy and paste these over to another file then add them in, I can do them in the text file but find doing it in essentials a bit easier.
Project Unhinged has reached itâs end point. What I have done is playable and if any one wants to explore it hit me up for the link but I am starting a new project (Serenity) which will include what I have learnt making Unhinged but much more polished (some things have been removed (minor boss fights/end boss fights) from Unhinged as I donât want to spoil serenity)
Because I was having trouble with Steam games recently, I ended getting Proton Tricks, and now I have WINE. So, I may be able to test it out if you donât have a Linux version.
no linux version but through wine staging and wine ge (through heroic laucher) runs fine, just have to make a minimal change so you arenât in debug mode but will make a seperate with this also so you can tweak as you like. Wontât do til tomorrow but will share and the link now for the current copy with you (only update I can for see for now is taking out of debug mode)
Sent you a link, hope you have some fun, this is my new testing ground
Okay. Will probably test it sometime this week.
Alright managed to upload the default version today. Its playable and imo a pretty cool sandbox to just play around in but yer no story this will probably come in the next version after Serenity and even then will be very loose to still allow a lot of exploration.
Should I replace the one I have with this?
Up to you they are essentially the same except the non debug has the intro play and you chosse a name
Word of caution to anyone who decides to play this game.
Easy is reasonable.
Medium is hard.
Hard is impossible!!!
I died in the first battle to two Toedscools ganging up on me on Medium difficulty.

@smokey Bro! WTH?!
Haha, I might have to rename them something more suitable. I think the toescools would just be bad luck (sos battles are random, run til you have a team that can counter other mons, the quickballs make it pretty quick to do this)
Will do this next time for sure. ![]()
