My prediction for the final stage of the Tour de France:

Pogacar will finish 1st overall, Vingegaard 2nd and Lipowitz 3rd

At least the Lanterne Rouge is heavily disputed, as it changed hands as of yesterday. Between the current rider S. Consonni and the next competitor it’s only 15 seconds difference. Thus, it might be pretty exciting if he could defend his place ! In being the slowest finisher. /s

In other words: Totally lost interest in the Tour after the last stage within the Alps, as it is pretty much clear that there won’t be anymore changes to the general rankings. Traditionally, the yellow jersey won’t be attack during the last stage. Even if it would be only a few seconds between 1st and 2nd place.

Flat stage, with a sprint finish. Most likely Milan and Grimay will go for the stage win. And that’s it.

They’re riding the Olympic route in Paris with the climb up to Montmartre. At least it’s interesting to watch. I also want to see Lipowitz on the podium in his white jersey :person_biking:

Just give me a prediction for the numbers in Tuesday’s Eurojackpot.

It is also possible that the :england: ladies will counterattack the :spain: ladies in ninety minutes. :spain: is very open at the back, as we have seen throughout the tournament. :england: has a mercilessly strong offense :soccer_ball:

Chloe Kelly :heart_hands:

Opta Analyst predicts a close game, :england: 35% - X 27% - :spain: 38% (90-minute result)

And

“The supercomputer is leaning slightly in Spain’s favour, predicting them to be crowned European champions in 51.5% of simulations. Holders England are victorious in 48.5%.”

Let’s wait and see. :soccer_ball:

51 58 62 71 76 14 17 :winking_face_with_tongue:

Yes, but :england: can also be weak at the back. If it finishes in 90 minutes, then I expect it to be 2-1 or 3-2 to :spain:

One strength :england: do have is a very strong bench, and she is a :star:

Thanks, half the cash is yours :money_bag:

One hour until kick-off :soccer_ball:

It’s going to be an exciting final. I think the game will break all boundaries in terms of play and tactics. :soccer_ball: :trophy:

An epic final in the UEFA Women’s European Championship

Well done “Sassy” Chloe :heart_hands:

Hats off to the :england: Ladies :trophy:

I’ll take my own numbers  :money_bag:

Very wise

Very happy to have been proved wrong

I’m disappointed that Prince Willy didn’t lift her off her feet and kiss her like Luis Rubiales two years ago

I’m just wondering why they scheduled the final to 6 p.m. in the evening.

I think it was because the TV broadcasters like that time on a Sunday and :soccer_ball: has to obey the :television: gods

Laura Dahlmeier dies at the age of 31 in a climbing accident in Pakistan’s Karakorum Mountains :broken_heart:

On the one hand, I am incredibly shocked, but on the other hand, this woman lost her life doing what she loved so much. Take care, Laura Dahlmeier, wherever you are.

Yeah, this is sad news. But as you said she lost her life while doing what she loved most - climbing on high mountains. The accident itself were unfortunate circumstances.

Let me summarize the first quarter between the current World Champions vs. Luka Doncic Slovenia in the Quarter Finals of the current FIBA European Championship (link). The fact that Germany has troubles to hit their 3 point shots (1/7 … only 14%) is definitely an issue.

But in the end, 39 Pts, 10 Reb and 7 Assists of Luca Doncic weren’t enough as they’ve lost 91:99 vs. Germany.

Dennis Schröder in particular had a pretty bad day, only hitting 1/9 from the 3pt line. But managed to score 20pts nonetheless.

Anyway, the second half has been pretty ugly and neither Slovenia nor Germany couldn’t shine.
Doncic was in foul troubles pretty early on, by the end of the 2nd quarter he already had 4. As the game progressed into the 4th quarter, Tristan Da Silva scored a beautiful buzzer beater from the half court line. Which essentially resulted in Germany to take the lead for the first time. Which they managed until the finish.

The momentum of the Slovenian team essentially died down as two of their starting five were out of the final quarter due to their 5th foul.

The game was really nail-biting

Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon for basketball games under the FIBA set of rules to turn into a disruptive foul game which isn’t pretty to look at. I’ve seen a lot of those games in the past in the minor leagues.

Anyway, as the semi final game will start in a few, I’m looking forward to see a game that is less interrupted and won’t result into discussions with the referees constantly.

It’s the second match between Finland and Germany during this EM. And the first match didn’t end well for the team around Lauri Markkanen. As they’ve lost 61:91 within the group phase.

Finland is definitely the underdog in this match. In comparison to the bench rotation the German team has to offer, with 7 men that can score ~10 Pts individually, the Finnish rotation is cut short with Markkanen as the teams top scorer and the other players of their starting 5.

It’s definitely a major advantage that Germanys team include several NBA players and that they’ve got some options offensively. But they definitely need to control the rebounds as well to get the second chances.

We well see, if the trend continues that those teams which are solely build around a single NBA player will be eliminated. In that sense, the second semi final is a bit more interesting, all eyes on Giannis essentially.

Pretty nice game up so far, Germanys offensive worked like a charm and they were able to kept their opponent at bay defensively. Finland wasn’t able to score for the first minutes of the second quarter at all and Germany was able to increase their lead. Until they obviously had a bit too much of confidence. Thus Finland could avoid that Germany went out of reach.

Nevertheless, Schröder with 8 Assists in the first half, they secured second chances and were able to finish their offensive plays much faster than the finnish guys.

In 2 hours, i cant wait!!!

Pretty strong 3rd quarter as the Finnish managed to get back into the game.

Nevertheless, Germany didn’t allowed that they could keep their momentum.
Schröder with 26 pts and 12 assists in the end, Wagner with 22. Additionally Theis, Bonga and da Silva contributing more than 10 pts each.

As in their previous matches, Lauri Markkanen was kept at bay, only achieving 16pts in the end.

But I have to admit, Miikka Muurinen… hitting 3/4 3 pts shots, scoring 12 pts within 18 minutes on the court… for an 18 year old that still is playing high school basketball. Quite impressive and the same match could end very differently in a few years of time.

Anyway, looking forward to the other semi final. I’m not very sure if the Turkish or the Greek would succeed. That will definitely quite an interesting final game on sunday !
