[POLL] Sports Talk - Who's playing and what are you watching?

I would say that :finland: lost very unluckily. A draw would have been possible, at least.
The match between :switzerland: and :iceland: is really wild. I’m curious to see if they’ll each leave the pitch with 11 women :red_square:

Yes it is rather feisty!

That double false run up at the :switzerland: free kick just now was a waste of time

Commiserations to :iceland: who are now out of Euro 2025, but it’s always nice to see the host team doing well, and :switzerland: deserved that win in the end.

The group decider for :switzerland: against :finland: is sure to be very tense (both currently have 3 points, but :switzerland: have a better goal difference) :soccer_ball:

:iceland: are certainly a very likeable team, but unfortunately they only have plan a. Long throw-ins or steep shots to the top. A pity on the second match day, but somehow deserved to be out.

Fantastic match between :spain: & :belgium: this afternoon :soccer_ball:
55 minutes in, and :belgium: have equalised twice, only for :spain: to immediately score again and make it 3-2 :soccer_ball:

It finished 6-2 to :spain: who played some fabulous football :star_struck:

8 goals in one game. What a spectacle. But you could see that :spain: is vulnerable. Great deep balls behind the back four. You can just let them play. They are very strong on the ball, each ball arrives. Technically outstanding team

Yes, they can be beaten - perhaps by :germany: in the final

Great to watch, and if they do make the final we have four matches to enjoy them :soccer_ball:

A very entertaining game. :portugal: are, with all due respect, the worst team in this European Championship.

They can meet :france: in the semi-finals. That will be interesting :soccer_ball:

What a drama. :portugal: came back strongly in the second half

1:1 great match. Both can still reach the quarter-finals

Two cracking matches today :soccer:

Of course the optimist in me says that it could still be :england: who top the group… but maybe not the realist in me

Due to whatever reason I stumbled upon a video summarizing the 3rd stage of the tour de france.
And had to chuckle hard when I saw a long haired guy with an hulk-hogan memorial beard, wearing the stars & stripes jersey as the current US cycling champion. And sun glasses which could be straigth out of the 90s.

Please compete for the Lanterne rouge, Quinn Simmons.

:germany: vs :denmark: and :poland: vs :sweden: at UEFA Euro 2025 today :soccer_ball:

Wins for :germany: and :sweden: would see both qualify for the knockouts :soccer_ball:

35 very bad minutes from the :germany: girls. Poor positional play and passing. There is still plenty of room for improvement in the second half.

An improvement in the second half, but :denmark: could still score again…

But they don’t - congratulations to :germany: on a hard fought win :soccer_ball:

Hard fought…you’re optimistic. I saw a terrible game from our girls.
No matter, take home three points :soccer_ball:
