fairly new to arch and kde as well. came for the eye candy, found plymouth, tried a five y.o tut from the forum, didnt work.
followed all the steps except used the newer command for dracut or some other to restart. anyway, need help setting this up. oh great linux informants of endeavour os i reqquest before thy to help a lad in need

soo, i havent changed anything and it randomely decides to stark working, maybe it could be related to the fact that today was the day i installed flatpak. but now ots stuckon the same one (spinfinity) and i cant change it, i mean i can and have applied the changed settings multiple times and it shows as done everytime but actually doesnt change during boot.
Very much doubt it has anything to do with this.
Can you share the exact commands you used to try change the background? Otherwise we can only guess at what is happening.
