It looks like quite a few new quality of life enhancements are coming later in the week (or more likely early next week).
At least based on this video…
As always, I’m excited to see new features, the gaming improvements might pull KDE way ahead of GNOME, based on how much difference it REALLY makes.
Well you got to admit, GNOME’s focus is pretty narrow (esp regarding customization). Though that itself appeals to some, but not all.
But yes, KDE and GNOME are the current top players…so yep….
6.5 is looking to be a stellar release, and for the first time that I can remember, there are zero high-severity bugs in the weekly reports. That’s amazing. The polish is just shining these days.
I am hoping that in 6.5 there will be a way to disable the floating task bar. I like it snapped to the bottom of my screen but this only happens when i open an app. Not much of a problem but still. The gap between the taskbar and the screen edge kind of gets on my nerves Why did they even do that i have no idea.
Today is plasma 6.5 day ! Hopefully it won’t take long before it goes through the testing and rolling phase to us. Don’t forget to donate to kde if you like it.
