No it’s not a sunset… it’s light pollution from a city.

Online compression reduces the quality in the Milky way picture.

The sky appears as almost daylight, but the shadows and highlights look like street lights.

Nope. It’s just the default camera settings on my iPhone 16 Pro Max.

This seems to be some crazy high HDR. Looks dramatic. My phone does that too on it ‘auto enhance’ mode.

All this time I thought they were ufos and we were being visited by aliens. :laughing:

In contrast to my previous shot, here’s the same image at quarter to noon. Last night’s image was around midnight.
