Current version is 0.5-6, updated today. There may have been a few seconds time when updating the repo was not yet finished. Could that be the reason?
Yes that’s it!!!
That time gap was a very short one, maybe a second or two. But I guess github has its own mirroring processes that I’m not aware of. They might have contributed to the gap?
It’s solved now.
It’s not working. I have uninstalled it a number of times. I did reboot after installing it but i am getting the same error panel.
That’s strange. Could you share a journal log?
Hi,
is there an pamac indicator for the XFCE panel? I am used to Octopi in Manjaro KDE, so something comparable would really be nice here.
Thanks in advance,
Christoph
EDIT: Just saw the indicator after a reboot. Ahem…please excuse I was impatient…
What journalctl command?
I deinstalled kalu, but under “Notification” there it is still listed in the “Applications” tab. Is there a way to get rid of this?
Thanks in advance,
Christoph
Did you reboot?
like:
sudo journalctl -b0
What are the exact symptoms of Kalu’s dependency error? What is the exact procedure for removal? Is this a workaround or a permanent solution?
Yes, I did. After the reboot the icon in the panel was gone, but the entry under notifications is still there.
Here is the log.

Since Kalu isn’t actively maintained anymore we decided two months ago to search for a replacement. @manuel created the update notifier and we planned this to release in the November release.
Kalu can’t handle the new Pacman that hit the repo today. That’s why we released it earlier.
How did you remove Kalu?
Thanks for your correct reply. Later it will be a notification tray icon for the Kalu replacement?
@ricklinux
Couldn’t see anything in the log about eos-update-notifier. But there should be at least something.
