Nvidia 495 "supported"

Current boot: https://clbin.com/gfSAj

last boot: https://clbin.com/AUWI7

Hope this helps

So i see you haven’t had any luck with the 495.xx driver.

Same result as yesterday

I just wanted to make you aware also that there are 14 newer UEFI bios updates for your motherboard board. Your’s is BIOS 3.10 03/17/2017

The latest one is still in beta as is the one for my MSI board. You might want to think about updating to the one before the latest beta version at least and then you could update to the latest once it is out of beta.

The version I’m referring to is 7A33v3H 2019-01-24
The current beta version is the top one 7A33v3JU(Beta version) 2021-11-02

I’m not saying this has anything to do with the Nvidia not working but the newer Bios updates have newer AGESA for AMD processor. (firmware)

The version currently on your board probably came that way from manufacturing and hasn’t been updated at all.

Hopefully i have the correct motherboard info from your logs.

Do you think it will be worth it to update?

Since my dad (who mainly teached me most of my knowledge) said that it isnt worth it to update the bios since it can break more things than it can fix

I have yet to see a system that breaks or starts having problems because of a bios update.

Good point
But I will definitely be able to break something

Unless you are unlucky enough to have a power outage during bios upgrade

Uhh what does that mean exactly?

The Bios update is important as it is what controls everything. I have always updated firmware. You just have to do it with the proper procedure. You can download the manual and it explains how to update the Bios. It’s very easy on MSI boards and i wouldn’t do it from online. I would download the new Bios update file which it usually needs to be extracted from a compressed file. Then put the new file on a usb drive and boot the computer, enter the bios screen and use mflash to update it. Usually MSI boards when updating copy the file and the system automatically reboots on it’s own and then does the flashing to update the Bios. Just don’t interrupt the process until it’s completely done.

I was looking at this also and there are a number of reports of these same errors even on older driver versions of nvidia.

Okay thank you!
I will try in the meanwhile I should’ve done it a while ago already

Like i say there is a Beta version but i would use the one just before it until the Beta version is final.

One thing that drove me to madness while trying to update my MSI motherboard is the fact, you need to have a USB stick formatted as FAT32 (if I remember correctly) and a partition size not more than 8G (also if I remember correctly). So without that the update menu didn’t recognize the USB stick.

I will but thank you

That’s possible. I always use my Windows usb to do it that has the Windows ISO on it.

As @I0F say’s make sure you use a usb that is fat32 to copy the bios file to for the update process.

Yup I got it
Its updating currently

Also it was way easier than I originally thought

Also holy shit the bios looks so much better now :joy:

Also about this now.
What does these errors mean and how can they be fixed?
Do you know that?
