It’s functional, that’s what matters to me and I am getting tired of Youtube’s game of cat and mouse.
And it’s pretty neat, if I may say so myself.

Here is a dev build with the fix if you don’t want to wait for the updated release.
You probably need a github account to access the assets.
The fix seems to be working for me.
I can confirm, freetube-git is working, after updating (yay -S freetube-git).
I already spent “my last hour with Freetube”. 
Flatpak is updated, too, and working well now
that’s weird. my flatpak is not updated. in fact, the app wants me to update it myself.
I will be patient.
The command line: flatpak update needs to be run to update flatpak applications. They don’t autoupdate.
They have since retracted the version number from 0.23.4 back to 0.23.3 in the flatpak repo, it seems. It is a build from yesterday, though. Might be that this is causing problems. My “newer” version runs smoothly.
I know this. there was no flatpak update for days until this morning.
Mine that was updated finally 5 minutes ago is “v0.23.4 Beta” according to the Freetube About tab.
But if finally plays music!
Seems like there is a new issue happening. I get this for just about every video. Works fine playing through mpv just not the app itself
I’ve noticed this same issue for the past month but here in the last 48 hours or so its seems to be much worse. I get it for every video now, Sometimes I can back out hit the thumb again and it will work other times I get the same message. Doesn’t seem to have issues playing through mpv at all though.
I’m noticing this also. . . .
