The problem is that the whole digital ecosystem anyway is infected and infiltrated with a backdoors on both hardware and software level. Even damn charging cables for a long time have their own SoCs.

The absurdance of it is not even a total spying on everyone, but the fact that neither goverment or corporate structures are capable to properly control all this chaos, well to be fair they’re not even trying, but still.
They are themselve becoming extremely vulnerable to the man-made hell of their own production. With a current level of the digital security I’m very suprised that this planet-wide mess still didn’t crushed by it’s own weight.

That’s just bad logic.

If a robber in a dark alley points a gun to your face, I’m sure your first thought is:

Being the Agnostic type, Im[sic] not the type to take a lack of proof/knowledge of something as proof in itself. I wont[sic] deny that this gun has the potential to kill me, provided it has bullets loaded and this gentleman is willing to pull the trigger, but i[sic] wont[sic] claim its[sic] fact either till i[sic] have more evidence to support said claim.

Yeah, makes total sense…

The hardware manufacturers are loading the gun with this, and they are letting you know it’s loaded. You just have to take them seriously.

To be fair, currently it feels that the modern microsoft-certifiedā„¢ hardware is making harder to install windows than linux.

This crap is still cannot properly being installed on m2 nvme SSDs and very sensetive to the utility for the bootable USB creation. For the last times when I needed to install win10/11 for someone, neither rufus/ventoy/balenaetcher properly worked, it’s ended with finding another PC with windows to use windows media creation tool.

Good!

And nearly all big companies having tight relationships with goverment/s from the beginning to the end.
So the rabbit hole goes very deep.

Yeah, but that is by incompetency, rather than by design.

Pfff, blood relatives, what about same caste on the market scale?:elephant:
It’s not a new story in history when a one ethnicity or specific part of it being chosen as a proxies for some kinds of the jobs.
But when it’s combined with constant agenda about equality and anti-colonialism that’s becoming just hillarious absurd.

Sadly and thankfully, nearly everything related to the big companies and government is building around incompetence, so the competent people may find the ways to avoid this madness.

Yeah, in the current year, that’s our only hope.

Microsoft don’t need a backdoor. Just open a Window. It’s not locked!

Sure, mass surveillance toggle in BIOS, just for you dear h4xXx0r that uses ThinkPad…
That’s obviously a scam, since you can’t prove that by no means, because firmware is closed source, CPU is closed source, M$ Pluton is blackbox intentionally…

I would think so too years ago about Intel ME and AMD PSP…Amongst security professional it’s already out of question that it happens, unless you flash it with crap. otherwise it won’t have a dedicated chip running Minix instance. :postal_horn:

:+1:

No chip-to- security for you
