Once again folks are searching the repositories..
All you have done is shown that those packages exist in the mirrors.
Which you have installed would likely be of more interest.
And that could only be judged as more or less acceptable when compared to the hardware it is being deployed on.
If you dont care and have all of them then that would work too.

There has to be some consternation or comedy when posting roughly the same thing for the third or fourth time .. we will go with comedy. 
By the way - with either pacman or expac you can use Q to query your local (installed) packages. ex;
pacman -Qs linux-firmware
The S on the other hand refers to āsyncā - so it will sync information or whole packages from the mirrors. Like Ss is search, Si is info, and S is just install - all āfrom the repositoriesā.

So, I am unsure whats going on here now that I am paying attention.
If I am learning anything about Linux, it is that there is closed source āblobsā that are provided by hardware venders for Linux to use alongside the opensource portion of the hardwareās ādriverā, in Windows lingo.
IS that what weāre doing here, upgrading drivers for hardware that has closed source portions or blobs to them?
IS blob and firmware words for the same thing?
If so, cool, if not more reading required.

What we would be doing is the regular update - which includes all packages.
In this case that includes firmware packages that provide firmware files and also require some manual intervention in most cases due to how certain things were rolled out at the same time other canges were made (its unimportant to go into here).
The āmanual interventionā is whats been outlined in the pinned announcement and the subject of this thread here - you will get the linux-firmware meta package, which should also depend on and provide all the other linux-firmware-* packages .. but you may encounter a ..file exists in filesystem error and thus follow the procedure noted, namely;
sudo pacman -Rdd linux-firmware
sudo pacman -Syu linux-firmware
This uses the āignore dependenciesā flag while removing the firmware package (-Rdd - this should just about never be used unless instructed), then a regular sync and upgrade while installing the firmware package again.

MUCH too late for that, my ADHD addled brain said to me just a few minutes ago, "go ahead and do it-if it gets borked reboot to Windows and come right back here and cry like a baby until someone helps you?

ok ever since i did this update , i donāt like what i see when running yay.
and why is all this updating? i donāt need it ? itā taking forever
i never had mirror list errors before , nor did all that firmware update
The last week has been a mess of firmware updates and changes. Hopefully Arch Linux has its stuff together (for the moment)? Btw, firmware is definitely a needed component. Better to have updates that correct issues then no updates, right? Also, mirror errors have nothing to do specifically with Arch pushing out firmware updates.
