No updates available, Arch maintainers must be slackin’ again!
On a serious note: I like that they focus on stability.
Often Arch repo will skip .0 version of most of the packages Most maintainers wait till a .1 or more. Wasn’t it Linux 6.19 that they waited for .4 or something before releasing ? They did the same for mesa. We didn’t see any 26.0 only 26.1…
When it is time to hurry again?
I’m ready!

I’m still waiting for Linux 10 kernel! Why is it taking so long? ![]()
486 getting removed is bittersweet for me, - was my first hardcore home-built rig CPU, with the maths coprocessor..
Gods.. was it really over thirty years ago..
Ain’t 486s had integrated coprocessors?
I owned an Enhanced Am486 DX4-120 and I had one integrated as long as I remember. Maybe flagships had it integrated…
Hurry up and wait!
Yeah, several release candidates focusing on bug fixes sounds great
DX had, SX didn’t. Same as the 386s.
Hah I was thinking of the 386SX I think..! The 486 was my upgrade for that maths coprocessor.. sobs quietly at the memories fading I vaguely remember playing the original X-Wing in DOS all through Christmas..
It’s interesting that’s happened. I was of the (possibly mistaken) impression, that the major version numbers didn’t mean all that much with the Linux kernel, it was largely a feels thing.
Over time, I’ve noticed it’s this ‘gotta get it in for the .0 release’ that does make waiting just a bit wise :0
Lots new with 7.0…
Me too (Device-1: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Navi 33 [Radeon RX 7600/7600
XT/7600M XT/7600S/7700S / PRO W7600] driver: amdgpu v: kernel)
You’re running it in CachyOS. I have it on my EndeavourOS rig.
I have Nvidia. Are you running it in EOS?
