LibreWolf massive memory spikes

I’ve been using librewolf consistently today on a new install of Endeavor.
For the first ~4 hours I’ve had no issues at all, but now it’s being terminated every few minutes to avoid memory shortages.
System monitor shows spikes lasting about as long as the freeze, going from 1GB to 16GB of memory usage for seemingly no reason.

I’m aware that this is probably the same issue as in LibreWolf Memory Leak , but the topic hasn’t been commented on in about a year.
Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?

Are you using some addons? If so, I would disable them all to see if the problem is still there.
Or simply, create a new fresh profile and use that for a while to check.

Just Ublock but that could be the issue, I’ll try without it for a bit.

Javascript heavy sites might be the issue.
I’ll have a poke around in the config files and see.
