LibreWolf Memory Leak

I’m testing various browsers (until Ladybird saves me from this struggle) and noticed that LibreWolf has a tendency to crash even if basically unused. Other browsers haven’t shown this behavior so I am curious: anybody else experienced this?

Do you mean LibreWolf??

oh lol, fixed, thanks

Tor also crashes on a whim.

I use LibreWolf regularly. I’ve noticed that when I lock the screen with it open, it crashes. Likewise, on my desktop, which uses a TV as its monitor, will crash LibreWolf if I manually shut off the TV. Firefox has done this sometimes, too, but not current version.

i used Librewolf for a few weeks just to check it out
it never crached
but for other reasons i decided to go back to brave
just my 2cents

LibreWolf has been daily driver for years. Has never crashed. Has never crashed when unused. Like all Firefox derivatives it gets doggy once in a while. But has never crashed.

Variables if it matters: Cinnamon, Endeavour, librewolf-bin from AUR, intel quad, integrated graphics, open source drivers, newish memory sticks 16GB

Using it as my default browser for a year now, never had a crash.

I use librewolf-bin as well, then question for @vazicebon and @drunkenvicar : do you use “uBlock Origin”?

Also a longtime librewolf user with no issues

I have been using Librewolf for years now and can’t recall any recent instability.
Please note I use the non-bin package chaotic-aur/librewolf 138.0.3-1 for good reasons.
See here LibreWolf Source Repository: https://codeberg.org/librewolf/source

I have a couple add-ons installed like ublock origin/no script/skip redirect

that ^ and noscript are my only extensions.

well then I don’t know, it leaves me with more questions than answers as the only software that does that (randomly, on top of all) is LibreWolf…
