Let's have a drink together! What's in your glass today?

I’ve just given it up (as well as cannabis) after realising the troubles it was causing me physically and mentally. This morning I’m enjoying a nice cup of coffee.

Any update on this? Is this a mistake or did they just make a horrible “india farmhouse ale”? One of my favorite brewers in your area is Shipyard Brewing - their Pumpkin Crush this year is fantastic. I don’t usually like seasonal beers, but I’ve always been a fan of the october/pumpkin beers for some reason. You all do beer quite well up there.

I don’t know yet; I caught a nasty little virus (not COVID), so I’ve just been mostly sleeping the past couple of days, but I will be visiting their taproom at some point in the next few weeks. I’ll let you know.

I also have been scratchy/winter cough thing going on. From 30-80 temperatures, flights, no sleep one night at the airport, and dry whatever, I haven’t been awesome the last few days also.

I hope you’re doing better soon! I’m actually trying to look at keyboard stuff for possible christmas options for the wife, I was gifted a 96% hp that feels like a great layout for me. I keep coming up with either Royal Kludge or Keychron since they seem to dominate the market. Anything else to look into (wireless/bluetooth ideally)

Hope you two get well soon!

As for keys, I prefer the USB ones, not needing any batteries. Because… they’re way beyond environment-friendly.

EDIT:
Keys, yeah my all-time favorite is/was the Fender Rhodes.

I don’t follow Bluetooth keyboards, so I will be of no help there. I know a lot of people like Keychron…personally I find them rather mediocre…

My go-to recommendation is Leopold. Excellent build quality, and available with a wide array of switches. I don’t know if they do Bluetooth, though. I think some of the Durgods have Blutooth, and they are also very good, though a bit less very good than Leopold.

I guess I’m not horribly opposed to a wire, it’s just nice having less wires around the desk.

Thanks, I’ll take a look at both of those!

Usually the “popular” stuff is mediocre, but popular because it’s just a good balance of price/experience. The good stuff is usually pricer and less people can comment on because they weren’t willing to go the extra half mile for something better.

Wine, of the red variety. No one thought about shoping for good wine when we got a night off, so we’re slaughtering some cooking wine. Not bad cooking wine, it’s actual wine… but just not that good.

No need to take notes, pass on. This is not the wine your looking for…

Me too, waiting for COVID test :face_with_spiral_eyes:

I have a keychron, it can be wired or used via Bluetooth. Quality is awesome, for 70 bucks it’s great quality and nice RGB light. I tried now blue and brown keys, I think brown is better for me. I guess next week is black Friday coming up, worth waiting.

Let’s see what I have in my glass. An umcka tea :coffee:

Euch! I’ve got some Chinese cooking wine in a cupboard. It’s drinkable (just!) but luckily I have some good quality cider. To be fair though it adds a great flavour to a stir-fry.

I’ve got a whole pile of them from when I thought I was goign to have to test weekly at work. I’ve taken 3 so far, all negative. I don’t really feel bad. Just like, dry. Maybe it’s this windy California desert air after my week up in damp New England. . .

Anyways, I hope you’re feeling better soon.

What’s the part about Saturday though?

I actually usually drink and root.

Well, drink and most everything lol.

Then make sure you have good backups, airbags, insurance …

No backups. I like to live dangerously.
