KDE Window Decoration Titlebar Buttons Issue

I have 2.53 and should get 2.56-1 but can not,
EDIT: I think kdecoration is a hint

I am going to wait it out a bit. If @Kresimir is seeing this issue, although he can move his invisible buttons, I am not the only one. I am still searching the KDE bug list for any reports.

It’s only the mockup titlebar in the System Settings, that is messed up. Everything else works fine for me. I’m sure it will be fixed in the next update.

How do you get the view of the folders?

I opened a bug report. I think I did it correctly, under kwin??

Nope, i think it should be

systemsettingskcm_kwindecoration

I found the system settings pulldown, but once I do that I don’t see kcm_kwindecorations as an option.

Edit to add: nevermind, it gave me those options after I hit save. duh! Thanks @keybreak

@ricklinux What do you mean by “the view of the folders”?

I’m not understanding this window decoration issue either. I don’t use many of these features because i worry about changing something and then it messes up kde. I tried moving an item to the title bar but I’m not sure how it works. If i do it in dolphin does every window have it or just dolphin or konsole if i chose Konsole? Amway here is a screenshot of what i meant.

That’s just a screenshot of plain old Dolphin. I see nothing special about it.

Okay I get it. You have a terminal open below attached. :man_facepalming:

Yeah, just press F4 in Dolphin to open the embedded Konsole – I find this to be the most useful feature of Dolphin. I love how it automatically does cd when you double click on a folder.

Thanks! @Kresimir, after all this time using Plasma & i didn’t know about hitting F4 in Dolphin.

Hahaha.

One of the best features HIDDEN from view in Dolphin is the ‘Move’ or ‘Copy to the other pane’

So try it - open ‘home’ and hit F3
Press F10 (makes new folder) and Enter (opens it).

From the other pane, click a folder and hit ‘Shift F5’ for ‘copy to other pane’ or ‘Shift+F6’ to move it.

These aren’t available in the context menu… ‘move to…’ takes some browsing.

Plasma takes years to master, it’s a real rabbit-hole.
