KDE Plasma 6.4.5 Released!
Hurry up! Update!

Updated, rebooted, smooth as silk!

Edit: Done ![]()
Edit 2: After the update, I noticed the “better blur” effect is no longer present. @perletero @Noodly
been there, done that, I’ve got the T-shirt - happy bunny. ![]()
Updated early today to get the latest and greatest Plasma. All good!
I was a bit out of it yesterday (medical issues), so I was caught somewhat by surprise when it upgraded this morning. All is well, though my Vivaldi browser did display 2-3 abend symptoms that may or may not be related (watching it).
I just had a Vivaldi update.
Ahhh so that’s what it is. I thought my eyesight had miraculously improved and I could now see through solid objects. ![]()
I tried both reinstalling and uninstalling/reinstalling, but it still doesn’t show up. I’ll try restarting my machine.
Edit: It still doesn’t appear after a restart, but that’s okay. I’ll stick with the standard blur for now. It’s working on System Settings as well.
You got me curious… Did you at any time work with mainframes and JCL?
These threads are usually the only way I know..
Smooth as silk as ever.
Same here, uninstalled, reinstalled and no sign of it.
Yes, I worked with almost every tech at some time or another ;0
Fortunately, the standard built-in blur now works in System Settings, which was not the case in the previous version.
Edit:
My mistake — the blur effect applied to System Settings only works when Kvantum is set as the application style. It doesn’t work with Breeze.
@dirn @Noodly that’s why I take off my hands from that freaking plasmoid
I noticed that once I installed that thing a few months ago
Hey welcome back mate ![]()
Yeh it does seem a bit of a pain, ![]()
Hey thanks mate ![]()
I find that rather poorly thought out. Why should I install a plasmoid that I have to reinstall after every Plasma update? That’s unacceptable to me.
EDIT: Correctly, it is a kwin script. But even that has not been thought through to the end.
